LA CROIX CATELAN

An exceptional historic site

The website of  The cross  Catelan is strongly marked by the history of French sport and more  especially in tennis.

On Sunday June 5, 1983, Yannick Noah had lunch there before winning the French Open final at Roland Garros against Mats Wilander. For many years, multiple tennis events have taken place there, thus leaving their mark on French tennis.

It is therefore natural that Lagardère Paris Racing wishes to reconnect with its history and will host a WTA tournament, The Trophée Lagardère, from May 9 to 15, 2022.

This tournament will also play a major role for the children of the Parisian tennis clubs, as well in the integration of young people from priority neighborhoods. In the light of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, uniting the world of sport and the tennis family, creating strong social ties are the major commitments that carry this tournament.

We are truly committed to promoting tennis in general and women's tennis in particular. We hope that this marvelous sport will continue to appeal to younger generations, by arousing, again and again, new vocations!
